Hate crimes are a growing problem across Britain with over 155,000 recorded nationally last year by police forces in England and Wales. There is no place for hate in Barnet. No one deserves to be targeted with abuse because of their disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, faith, race or religion.
As part of National Hate Crime Awareness Week 2023, Barnet will be hosting a number of events across the borough. Hate crime is an issue that affects the entire community. The Barnet Hate Crime Awareness Project aims to show people that we will not let hate crime escalate in Barnet.
