In just under six weeks, Alyth will be hosting our 11th annual Iftar. It feels like such an incredible thing to have brought communities together over 11 years to talk, study and eat. We are grateful for the friendships that have grown over the years.
It is more important than ever this year that we continue to reach out beyond boundaries of difference, to cultivate friendships and to deepen our understanding of our brothers and sisters of different cultures, backgrounds and faiths.
Please join us on Sunday 17 March at 16:45 at Alyth Synagogue, Alyth Gardens, NW11 7EN.
From 16:45 – 17:00 we will be meeting new and old friends as we welcome you back into our sanctuary.
The formal programme will begin at 17:00 with an opening ceremony followed by a choice of sessions in which Jewish and Muslim teachers will explore different aspects of our theme in a more intimate environment for learning and discussion.
This year our Jewish and Muslim teachers will be looking at the theme of ‘Friendship’. You will have a choice of different sessions to explore this theme in interesting ways.
We will come together for the call to prayer, finishing in time to share our iftar meal, which as always will be plentiful and delicious.
